Principal Percussionist of the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra
David Victor wears many hats in the Chicago music community as a go-to Timpanist, Percussionist, and Drum Set artist. David enjoys playing all styles of music, from Baroque to Broadway; Bebop to Bach.
David has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, Boston Philharmonic, Portland Symphony, Elgin Symphony, Spoleto Festival Orchestra, New World Symphony, and Minnesota Opera. David is the Principal Percussionist of the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra, a position he won in 2013. In addition, he is the timpanist with Chicago's Baroque Band. David can be heard on recordings from BIS, Mode, and Naxos.
As a drum set artist, David has played over 50 Broadway shows. An active performer, David can be seen playing drums with various artists ranging from singer/songwriters to Big Bands.
As a teacher and clinician, David maintains an active studio and enjoys working with students of all ages.
David earned his Master’s degree with honors from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. An Illinois native, David completed his undergraduate studies at Roosevelt University.
