Percussion Instructor

Joseph Flores has held many clinics and lessons for percussion sections across West Texas including Denver City High School in Denver City, TX (Class 4A UIL Finalist 2015-2016), Frenship High School in Wolfforth, TX, Levelland High School in Levelland, TX, and Littlefield High School in Littlefield, TX (Class 4A UIL State Qualifier 2015-2016). Flores is currently an independent percussion instructor and owner of J.Flores Percussion based out of Lubbock, TX where he teaches applied lessons and percussion ensembles.

 

Joseph Flores is a student of Mr. Neil Rutland (Eastern New Mexico University: Portales, NM) and has studied with many across the country including Mr. Al Gardner (South Plains College: Levelland, TX), Mr. Jesse Willis (Coastal Carolina University), and Dr. Josh Armstrong (Delta State University).

 

While attending Eastern New Mexico University, Mr. Flores participated in ENMU Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Greyhound Sound Marching Band, and the Eastern New Mexico Wind Symphony under the direction of Mr. Dustin Seifert.

 

In 2013-2014, Flores was the recipient of the Undergraduate of the Year Award and the Music Talent Award Scholarship. Mr. Flores received his BME from Eastern New Mexico University.
